The RimbaRaya Biodiversity Reserve is one of the world’s largest initiatives to protect and restore tropical lowland peat swamp forests. One of the most highly endangered and important ecosystems in the world, the reserve is more than 64,000 hectares, which makes it nearly as large as Singapore!
RimbaRaya is extraordinarily rich in biodiversity, and is home to several keystone species such as the endangered Bornean Orangutan, Clouded Leopard, Bornean Gibbon, and Asian Sun Bear.Projectrevenues have helped to fund everything from rehabilitation and environmental education programs, to Orangutan Foundation International.
